Mullingar Athletic Football Club is excited to announce the launch of a Facilities Development Plan consisting of 4 phases aimed at adding to the club's existing facilities to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for its players and supporters.

Phase 1 will commence immediately (March 2023) with the construction of a new artificial surfaced all-weather pitch for 7-a-side games on the current sand-based training area. The main club car park will also receive a full macadam surfacing, while new fencing and hedge planting will be added to the road boundary along the road frontage. The plan also includes the construction of new player dugouts on Pitch 2, Pitch 3, and a full-size 3G all-weather pitch.

Phase 2 of the plan will focus on the development of a new full-size 4G artificial grass all-weather pitch, complete with floodlights. This will be constructed on the north-west side of the site, alongside the existing 3G full-size all-weather pitch. This phase of the plan also includes the extension and surfacing of the existing overflow car park on the south-east side of the site in Gainstown.

Phase 3 includes the extension of the current club house building to incorporate four additional dressing rooms, a gym area, kit rooms, and a club merchandising shop. A skills ball wall will also be constructed.

Phase 4 of the plan will see the construction of a spectator stand overlooking the main grass pitch, as well as an exercise walkway throughout the facility.

Chairman Liam McGovern added "Each phase of the plan is carefully designed to meet the growing needs of our club which has seen membership expand to 725 members in recent years. Our plan is ambitious and we look forward to working with our members, supporters, and the wider community to make it a reality."

A major part of funding each of the 4 phases will be supported by our weekly club development draw with a Jackpot of up to €5,000 each week.

Club members (past & present) and the wider community can support our plans by signing up for as little as €2.50 for 1 line, €5 for 3 lines or €10 for 7 lines with a chance to win up to €5,000 plus additional weekly prizes.

ALL MONEY RAISED THROUGH OUR WEEKLY LOTTO WILL BE RINGFENCED FOR EACH PHASE OF OUR FACILITIES DEVELOPMENT PLAN.
